The marina office will be closed today! If you need any assistance please email Michaela at mrentmeester@f3marina.com❄ Winter Weather Update March 9, 2023 ❄

The City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works prepares for yet another weekly Thursday snow event. The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Storm Warning for the Sheboygan area beginning Thursday (3-9-23) at 6:00 pm through Friday (3-10-23) at 10:00 am. The approaching weather system is predicted to bring 5” to 9” of snowfall.

🔴This weather system will impact travel Thursday evening through Friday morning as periods of heavy snowfall and hazardous travel conditions are anticipated.

The Department has been preparing the City streets by applying liquid brine to the pavement surface. Applying this brine (a salt / water solution) will prevent the snow from bonding to the pavement allowing the snow to be removed more efficiently.

As snow begins to fall, the Department of Public Works plow crews will begin working multiple shifts to keep the streets clear. Please keep in mind, during periods of heavy snowfall, plow truck operators will remain focused on keeping the primary / heavily traveled streets clear, meaning secondary streets such as neighborhood streets may not be plowed immediately during the event. Final cleanup will be completed once the snowfall subsides.

Please be patient, the Departments plow trucks cannot be everywhere at once and work to clear all City streets will take some time.

Following these guidelines will aid the Department in snow clearing operations;
• Plan accordingly. If you need to be traveling somewhere, please slow down!
• Park vehicles off-street (driveways) if possible.
• Follow overnight winter parking regulations by alternating parking. Remember; “Park for Tomorrow”.
• Do not blow or shovel snow back into the street.
• Be good a neighbor and clear sidewalk within 48 hours after the snow stops falling.
• Keep our plow truck drivers safe and on the road by providing 75 feet clearance so they are able to safely remove the snow.

❄SLOW DOWN AND USE CAUTION WHILE TRAVELING❄

Ever wonder how the marina stays looking so beautiful!? Meet our dockmaster Patrick Brantner! He has been at HCM for 24 years! His favorite part about working here is of course working by the water and the variety of work he gets to do! Pat does everything from dock maintenance and upkeep to making sure the pool and hot tub area are operating accordingly! What can’t he do!? He can’t wait to see everyone on the docks in April! ...
